How the PSA (Perfect Sensitivity Approximation) Method Works

The PSA method mathematically bisects your aiming spectrum. Start by entering your comfortable current sensitivity. The calculator will generate a Lower Sens (Base × 0.5) and a Higher Sens (Base × 1.5).

In each round, test both values in your game (or practice on the tracking target below) and choose which one feels more natural and stable. Through 6 iterations, the algorithm converges on your exact Perfect Sensitivity.

Optimal Aiming Science

Find Your True Perfect Sensitivity with the PSA Method

Copying pro player settings like TenZ or s1mple only gets you halfway. Every gamer has unique hand biomechanics, grip styles (palm, claw, fingertip), mouse weights, and mousepad friction. The PSA method (Perfect Sensitivity Approximation) is the industry-standard algorithm used by aim coaches to discover your personalized, mathematically optimal sensitivity.

Our interactive perfect sensitivity calculator and sensitivity finder guides you through 6 comparison iterations. By comparing higher and lower boundaries and tracking stationary targets, the calculator eliminates guesswork and pinpoints your highest accuracy zone for Valorant, CS2, Apex Legends, Marvel Rivals, Deadlock, and Fortnite.

Core Benefits

  • Eliminates overshooting and undershooting
  • Personalized to your grip style & mousepad glide
  • Automatic geometric midpoint calculations
  • Integrated cm/360, eDPI, and multi-game export
Works across Valorant, CS2, Apex, Marvel Rivals, Deadlock, CoD, OW2, Tarkov, Rust & Fortnite.
Testing Methodology

How to Perform the PSA Sensitivity Test in 3 Simple Steps

1. Enter Baseline & DPI

Input your hardware Mouse DPI (e.g. 800 DPI) and your current approximate in-game sensitivity (e.g. 0.5 in Valorant or 1.5 in CS2). The tool generates initial lower (Base × 0.5) and higher (Base × 1.5) testing bounds.

2. Test Tracking & Flicking

Apply Option A in-game for 45 seconds. Walk and strafe left/right while keeping your crosshair locked onto a stationary bot's head. Next, apply Option B for 45 seconds. Select which option felt smoother and required less straining.

3. Converge & Export

Repeat through 6 rapid rounds. The algorithm calculates the geometric midpoint at each iteration. Upon completion, copy your final Perfect Sensitivity and export it 1:1 across all your favorite games.

Diagnostic Checklist

How to Tell If Your Sensitivity Is Too High or Too Low

Signs Your Sens is Too High:Overshooting
  • Crosshair shakes or jitters during smooth tracking.
  • You frequently flick past enemy heads and have to pull your crosshair backward.
  • Micro-adjustments at long range feel uncontrollable or twitchy.
  • Wrist feels tense or fatigued after short deathmatch sessions.
Signs Your Sens is Too Low:Undershooting
  • Crosshair consistently lags behind fast-moving enemies.
  • Performing a 180° turn requires lifting your mouse 2 or more times.
  • You run out of physical mousepad space during intense firefights.
  • Shoulder or forearm feels exhausted after clearing tight corners.
